October is the Month of the Rosary
October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary, a form of meditative prayer. During this month, Catholics are encouraged to pray the Rosary more frequently, meditating on the life of Jesus Christ through the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and Luminous Mysteries.
Regular Dress Code begins, Monday, November 3, 2025
The regular dress code is beige or tan color pants, a white or light blue dress shirt and tie and the school V-neck Under Armor sweater. No other sweatshirt, sweater or pullover may be used as part of the Regular Dress Code. Seniors have the privilege of wearing the school golf shirt year round and wearing the Stepinac sweatshirt in place of the school sweater.
Annual Book Drive
From now through Monday October 27th, we are collecting new or gently used books suitable for children ages toddlers to teens. Books can be dropped off in the Main Lobby.

Senior Internship Program
We offer an internship program to students in senior year. Now in its 4th year, this extremely successful program has been well received by the students and their mentors. The program will run from April 7th until April 24th and we are looking for placements for the seniors. If you have the ability, please consider taking on a senior to gain invaluable experience and insight into your field. Contact Mrs. Donahoe at adonahoe@stepinac.org
TI-84 Graphing Calculators
Mr. Carty has a limited number of graphing calculators for sale in the school. They cost $60 ($110 new.) Please see Mrs. Amato in the Main Office with cash or a check made payable to Stepinac if you wish to purchase one on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
Remembrance Prayer List
During the month of November we will pray for all deceased family members, friends, alumni and staff of the Stepinac community. Please use this link to add the names of those for whom we can pray. The list will be printed out at the end of October and placed on the altar in our Chapel for every liturgy and prayer service in November.
College Apps, Wednesday, 10/15 with 11/1 deadline
College applications with a November 1 deadline must be submitted to counselors by this date. This allows sufficient time for processing and ensures that colleges receive the applications on time.
Please note that Progress Reports Emailed 10/17, as always you can check PlusPortals at any time to see your son's current grades, the Progress Reports are a snapshot of where he is on 10/17.
Dress Down Day, Friday, 10/17: Go Pink!We will support a number of Breast Cancer awareness walks held in October with this dress down day. Participating students will bring their $3 donation to their 1st period teacher. We encourage students to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
